Do you know what that means?
Its Stars and Stripes season.
I’m playing three different arrangements of Stars and Stripes in three different keys… shoot me now.

Not that I’d know, being a trumpet player =P
Here’s my arrangement of the Star-Spangled Banner for Brass in Bb. I arranged it in Finale Allegro 2011 using the midi provided in the Garritan library.
It’s written for a standard brass quintet: 2 Trumpets/Cornets in Bb, French Horn in F, Trombone, and Bb Tuba, with an optional Bb/A Piccolo Trumpet part.
I put it together real fast after a baseball game I went to a couple days ago. I figured my brass band would love more opportunities to play, and playing at sports events would be great publicity. I took inspiration from various renditions of the National Anthem.
I did doctor the music with articulation, dynamics, and expression markings but I didn’t bother to mess with the playback. Midi doesn’t do musical expression justice, so I left this pretty dry bones…
Hope you enjoy!
